Focus on an inspiring artist: Alfred Stieglitz.

This amazing photographer was fascinated by urban living, New York and it's citizens.
He captured vibes and emotions with the cold steel buildings, to the crowd's big suprise in his time.
He was innovative and way ahead of his time.

my musthaves
I found this webside, where you can finds lots of products you like, make a collage,
and the pictures have direct links, to a webside where it can be bought.
Here's an example I made real fast, with the basic stuff I use in my everyday life,
except the lipstick. I really want a black mac lipstick, but I hope on bying one,
as soon as I get some money!

A lovely cup of coffee, now being digested mentally.

I guess you can create a link between life and everything,
but life is just as well as a cup of coffee.
The basic taste is the same. It's the small changes you've got to notice.
You've got to really let it sink, and then the variations of the taste will appear.
The cup may be pretty and welldecorated, or tasteless and torn,
but it is the coffee within, that is when the fuss is worth it all.

Dreaming like a ghost

New beginnings are always hard to face.
Knowing you will have to accept, that was has been, is over.
You cant help but wonder if it has left a trace.
Was everything experienced skill, or only luck from a clover?

I've recently had to say goodbye. Again.
I guess I will never get used to it.
No matter the fact that i've lived in more than 8 different houses.
No matter the fact that I've gone to 9 different schools.
I am so affraid that I will never have a healthy relationship with stability.
My mind will always be used to constant changes. In one way or another.
Even though I long for every opposite, it is what it is.
It's hard facing something you don't want to.
You know that nothing will be the same, as soon as you accept the confrontation.
Confroting myself has never been such a bitch as now.
But it is and will always be one of the most important things, to stay true
and honest towards yourself.

Never forget confronting yourself.

(These pictures are from my phone, that's why the quality is so bad.
But shitty quality is kinda pretty. It's expressive anyways.)

Hairmodeling.

A sad little tune plays now and then
Then I see her dancing
Only to remind me what I thought I’d forgotten.
Oh no my dear, nothing is erasable

Laughter turns into silence.
Silence into melancholia.
Am I a dyslectic, who’s only possession is a book?

All by me.
Yours truly

Fantastic songs and videos

Gareth Pugh ready to wear collection spring 2011
I love this video, for it's technical magic and innovation.
And I think Gareth Pugh is such an amazing artist and designer!

This song is called Tom's Diner, written in the 80's,
but the popular remix is from 1991.
This song is so amazing, because of the lyrical simplicity.
And the beat truly flatters this simple song.

Oh, I truly miss Paris!
This song is from the movie 'Funny Face'
starring Audrey and Fred Astaire, it's so lovely!

This song and dance is so beautiful and honest and melancholic.

Why Andy Warhol was such a genious

Platinum blonde in black and white
Neither ethics nor moral is struggle or fight
Art is nothing, art is all
Production and fame forever stands tall

Who was the man behind the dark raybans?
I guess no one will ever really know.
He was a living mystery, a living piece of art.
Creating and creating, always.

He defined america, and captured the essence of everything that inspired him.
He questioned art, it's importance, and continued the dadaistic movement.
He was the 60's, an artist, provoking superstar,
but was and will forever be an icon!

most of all, he created minimalism.

People often compare him with me.
I have a picture of him as my background on my cellphone,
and I always get asked 'Is that a picture of you'?
I can only hope to become such a genious, when I get older!

One of my alltime favourite movies is 'Factory Girl',  a movie about his muse,
Edie Sedgewick, but also about which kind of complicated person he was.
It's truly amazing!

Quote of the day.

"When you think about it, Adolf Hitler was the first pop star."

-  D  a  v  i  d   B  o  w  i  e

Today I got asked on my formspring, what my favourite quote was.
I love quotes, because they are inspiration for your mind, often said impulsivly,
showing a point subjectively. Many of these quotes are to be found interesting, and as thoughts one has had, but not been able to formulate.

This quote struck me, as being one of my favourite lately, cause it's so ironic
and though very true. I think David Bowie was trying to show the power of idealization and didolizing, that has almost become necessary for many people, both young and elderly.  Popculture is very much a word defining precisly that, and the way that
 fame has become power.
